The Rotary Club of Ambattur was chartered in 1980 and is the sixth oldest club in the city and the first among second generation clubs. An offshoot of the Rotary Club of Madras West, the club meets on Tuesdays at Hotel Kings, Egmore, Chennai.

Some of the projects of the club include the TV Nagar School Project, The Amabattur Rotary Hospital, distribution of bed kits and infant layettes in association with SCAW of Canada and the Micro Credit scheme for women.

On…… Dt.. , the Bhaktavatsalam Interact club was installed the Rotary club of Ambattur was represented by Rtn Deepal Lahiri, Director-Community Service and Rtn President Parthasarthy. The Headmistress, …. Ma/m was so impressed that she volunteered the students of the school to help out in RYLA activities. The subject of supporting installation of an Interact club at TV Nagar High school was also discussed.
